Unhindered

INTRO (orchestra swells, talking drum enters) VERSE 1 On Malta, warmed by the kindness of strangers, Paul gathered sticks for the fire, A viper came out and fastened on his hand, They said, "Justice will not let him live." But he shook it off into the flame, And they watched and he suffered no harm; Then healing came to Publius' father And to all of the sick on the isle. VERSE 2 And so we came to Rome, The brothers met us on the road; At the Forum and the Three Taverns, Paul thanked God and took courage, and was bold. He called the Jewish leaders, "For the hope of Israel I wear this chain"; Some believed, and some did not, And the word to the nations went again. CHORUS Unhindered! Unhindered! The kingdom of God goes on; With all boldness, preaching Jesus, The Lord's salvation has been sent to the nations, And they will listen! Unhindered! Unhindered! No chain, no storm, no throne Can stop the word of the risen Son.
