Amazing Grace (Still Carries Me)

VERSE 1 Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a soul like mine; I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind, but now I see. VERSE 2 It was grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears relieved; how precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed. CHORUS And still that grace will carry me, through every fire, through every sea; it brought me safe this far by faith, and grace will lead me home. VERSE 3 Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come; 'tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home. VERSE 4 The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures. CHORUS And still that grace will carry me, through every fire, through every sea; it brought me safe this far by faith, and grace will lead me home. BRIDGE When this poor heart and flesh shall fail, and mortal life shall cease, I'll own, within the veil, a life of joy and peace. Grace will lead me home, grace will lead me home. OUTRO When we've been there ten thousand years, bright shining as the sun, we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we'd first begun. Amazing grace.
